Biography

Native of Poland.
Master of Arts of Interior Architechture from Fine Arts Academy in Poznan, Poland. Graduated with honors in 1972.
From 1972 to 1982 worked as the Master designer in the country's leading Institute of Interior Design in Warsaw. Responsible for research and development projects in the field of habitation. First prize awarded for excellence in home design for physically challenged.
As an independant architect, she designed and realised numerous projects in interior Design of private residences, offices, commercial and industrial premises, most noteworthy beeing two large religious complexes in Warsaw (1979 - 1983). The projects included furniture design, stained glasses windows, murals, sculptures, etc...
In parallel, her other forms of artistic creation are : paintings, ceramics, jewelry and graphic design with several exhibitions. Member of the Polish Ministry of Culture's Comission for evaluation of artistic works (1975 - 1979).
While living in Mediterranean North Africa (Les Andalouses, Oran) from 1983 to 1987 she've been working as the interior designer, mostly of residences, boutiques, pattern for local textile manufacturers and most importantly she fulfilled the need for artistic expression trough painting (pastels, water-colour, guache).
Living in Canada since 1987.
Involved in volunteer work within the Acceuil-Parrainage de l'Outaouais (Hull, 1987 - 1989), including comissioned works.
In 1989 graphic designer for the National Capital Comission in Ottawa. Responsible for the creation of the graphical elements for the Cite le Breton development project.
1989 - 2006: Several international exhibitions of her work (especially paintings). Awarded of numerous awards in Canada and internationally : winner of the first prize in the 'Sodarco' art Gallery contest (1993) in Montreal, etc...
Many of her work are actually exhibed internationnaly as well as in private collections - in Poland, France Belgium, Sweden, Brasil, Mexico, Algeria, Marrocco, South Africa to name just few. | |
